As we head out of lockdown restictions, we are delighted to announce that the Whinlatter duathlon is BACK ON! The event will take place in November. This challenging, but short course takes place in the Whinatter Forect Park overloking the Bassenthwaite Lake valley. It is a run - bike - run event, with all parts off-road. You will definitely need your trail shoes and a gravel bike! Entry details and date to follow, so watch this space...

As we go into the summer and thinking ahead to the Autumn, why not treat yourself to some KTC branded clothing? We will shortly be posting links through to the IMPSPORT page where you can see what we can order across a selection of Tri and Cycling clothing - all with our newly design! The bigger the order the bigger the discount.

NEW FOR 2020 - Our first 'Bank Holiday Social 'Day:

Saturday 29 August

Journeying out of the imediadiate Kewsick area (cars and lifts etc. to be organised) for a relaxed but challenging ride in the upper Eden valley including Great Dun Fell, the highest paved road in England. There will then be a swim back at Derwent Water follwed by a meal at one of Keswick's many bar / restaurants. All welsome and sign up details to follow...

Matthew Riley (KTC Member) was out in his kayak on Tuesday 22nd May, he shot this great video of the rest of the senior KTC Members swimming in Derwentwater. See our training details for times, places and requirements (clothing etc) if you would like to join these sessions.

With the warmer weather and summer well and truly in full swing we're all back in the Derwentwater (our local lake) including our Juniors. See our junior section for training times, places and requirements i.e. what to bring and wear.

It was a beautiful day on Sunday 13th May and our GoTri Whinlatter Duathlon started at 10am.

The juniors started followed by the Seniors. The Queen and King of the Forest Titles went to Claire and John 'Congrats from all of Us'.

The event was not without some excitement; the Fred Whitton Cycle Sportiv was on so just getting to the carpark was a challenge. Numbers were lower than normal but everyone was keen and the Tri got off to a great start. Unfortunately there was a fall on the cycle section in the juniors but everyone was fine and the camaraderie was great.

Thanks go to the Keswick Tri Club members that marshalled, the Whinlatter Forestry Commission for hosting and all the competitors and associated friends and family that help to make these events possible.

Our next event is on the 24th of June and is a Ladies Only Duathlon.
